Tracking inputs encourages consistent monitoring of progress, leading to more effective goal achievement by fostering awareness and enabling timely adjustments.

Examples of input activities:

  • Input (writing) vs Output (book)
  • Input (prospecting) vs Output (clients)
  • Input (dieting) vs Output (six-pack abs)

For better goal achievement, implement the following daily input tracking method:

  1. Identify your primary goal.
  2. List the inputs (systems) related to your goal.
  3. Create a spreadsheet to track these inputs daily.
  4. Develop a habit of listing and tracking your inputs every day.
  5. Regularly evaluate progress and adjust as needed to stay on track with your goal.

Tools to track inputs:

  • Spreadsheets
  • Habit tracking apps
